About Us

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.” – Mark Twain

We are Becki and Andy – a couple from Wisconsin that love our state, and love to travel.Lots of photos of crazy us...

We’re just your ordinary, average Midwestern couple with a strong case of the wanderlust. Like so many people these days, we met online (thank you Plenty of Fish for being both cheap and effective, two of my favorite things ;) and after a flurry of emails and phone calls, we decided to meet up, and the rest is history.

It turns out one of the biggest things we have in common is our love of traveling. Whether it’s by car or airplane, bus, boat or train – as long as we’re going somewhere new and exciting, we’re happy.

We’ve come to realize that traveling isn’t just a hobby for us – it isn’t just something we want to do for only two or three weeks out of the year. We are planning and plotting, scrimping and saving so that we can start trotting the globe. We’re uprooting our entire lives because we want to explore, learn, and help people all over the world, and we want you to come with us on this journey.

We want to inspire you to get out into the world, to see it with your own eyes, feel it with your own hands, and even smell it with your own nose. Why? Because travel is an education. It will, at the same time, teach you about everyone else around the planet, and about yourself.

A wise traveler never despises his own country.” –Carlo Goldoni

…or their own state, for that matter.

We love to go all over, whether it’s to a desert in Africa, frozen mountains in New England, or all over our lovely home-state of Wisconsin. Every few weeks the travel bug bites and we have to get out of town for at least a weekend. So if you’re interested in what makes Wisconsin special, or want to get some travel inspiration for the rest of the world, just follow along as we sightsee all over our home state and prepare for our big trip.

Did someone call for Farmer Becki?I have always loved traveling, pretty much all of it was by backseat of a car, but hey, it’s still going somewhere, right? I’ve been pretty much all over the Midwest and down South, but now after meeting and being with Andy the traveling bug has bit me even harder.

I want to know what it is like to work a vineyard in Argentina, or milk a goat in Kanpur India, or feel the calmness of a Buddhist temple in Tibet. And lately, I want to say “I’ve been to Antarctica!”

Since then I’ve taken plenty of adventurous trips all over the world, almost all of them solo. I used to be a one-man wolf pack, but when I met Becki, I knew she was one of my own. And my wolfpack…it grew by one. Love you babe!
